Pollstar Live! is the world’s largest gathering of live entertainment professional and the flagship event for Pollstar magazine, the leading trade for the global live entertainment industry. The conference hosts two full days of panels with the industry’s top executives, multiple networking opportunities and culminates in the Pollstar Awards, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2019. In 2018, the event garnered record attendance and featured speakers including Shark Tank star and entrepreneur Mark Cuban, manager Scooter Braun, TV personality/manager Sharon Osbourne, and WME’s music chief Marc Geiger among others. The conference will be preceded by the 5th annual Production Live! which caters to the logistic and operational side of the industry.

Kathryn Kai-ling Frederick is an Executive Vice President at Ticketmaster, a division of Live Nation Entertainment, leading Growth and Insights. Under her executive leadership, Ticketmaster connects over 100 million passionate live event fans to music, theater, and sporting events through robust CRM and digital marketing programs. Kathryn has evolved the Marketing and Product organizations to enrich the fan engagement experience with best-in-class technology platforms and business-critical product insights. In her role, she serves to bring together data, technology and the magic of live events to acquire, inspire and engage fans. Prior to Ticketmaster, Kathryn held a number of senior roles leading digital transformation at brands such as Yahoo, Modern Luxury Media and Pricegrabber. She is an advisor and investor in a number of early stage consumer technology companies, and participated in the 2016 White House Summit of the United State of Women. She holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School. Kathryn lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two little princesses, was an avid foodie (pre-kids) and is known to partake in games of chance.

Steve Gordon is Co-Head of the Electronic Music Division at United Talent Agency (UTA) where he represents some of the largest dance music artists in the space including Marshmello, Kaskade, Illenium and Excision, among others. In April alongside long-time partner Kevin Gimble, he oversaw the sale of their previous company, Circle Talent Agency, to UTA. Gordon negotiates and assists in contracting over 200 club nights in Las Vegas every year, in addition to selling-out major venues in the US including Red Rocks Amphitheater, LA Convention Center, and The Gorge. He also helped Excision create and curate Lost Lands, the largest grossing three-day festival owned by an artist in North America, as well as Bass Canyon, his newest launched festival this year selling 40k tickets over three days. Gordon was previously a well-known promoter in Baltimore, crafting some of the first hard-ticket tours in bass music.

To date, Kevin Griffin has produced, written, and co-written albums and songs that have sold in excess of 30 million copies.

Griffin has produced and written songs performed by artists such as Taylor Swift, Train, Sugarland, Barenaked Ladies, Christina Perri and James Blunt among others. He scored a #1 hit in 2005 with Howie Day's "Collide." In 2010, Griffin had Sugarland's #1 Country hit, "Stuck Like Glue" which became the 11th most downloaded country music song of all time. Recently, Kevin teamed up with fellow songwriter Sam Hollander to form Band of Merrymakers, a rotating-cast Yuletide super group featuring today’s biggest artists such as Fitz and the Tantrums, Natasha Bedingfield, and Neon Trees. In 2015 the group released their Sony debut album “Welcome to Our Christmas Party” with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the Grammy’s MusiCares Foundation®. Christmas 2015 saw them performing on the Today Show, Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! and the NBC’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center for the tree lighting ceremony. Christmas 2016 will see the band live in performing arts centers around the country.

Griffin made his professional debut in 1995 as the singer and songwriter for New Orleans based band Better Than Ezra. Their debut record, Deluxe, went double-platinum fueled in part by the success of the #1 Modern Rock track “Good.” The band's follow up record, Friction Baby, went Gold and contained two Top 10 Modern Rock tracks followed by another Top 10 Hit in 2001 with the single “Extra Ordinary.” In 2005, Better Than Ezra had a Top 10 hit with "Juicy". In 2010, their song, “Breathless,” was covered by Taylor Swift at the Hope for Haiti telethon and during her worldwide tour. In 2014 BTE released their eight studio album All Together Now which secured a Top 30 song with lead single “Crazy Lucky.” Better Than Ezra continue to tour around the world.

In addition to songwriting and performing, Griffin is involved in artist management, lectures on the subject of creativity to groups and companies such as Novation and YPO/WPO, and this fall will be an adjunct professor and writer-in-residence at NYU’s Clive Davis School of Music. He is a co-founder and partner in Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival which is a two-day event located in Franklin, TN. As C3 Presents International Director, Leca Guimarães handles all aspects of Lollapalooza internationally (with the exception of talent booking), while working with local promoters to maintain the Lollapalooza brand standards across the globe. Lollapalooza started its international expansion in Chile in 2011, then expanded to Brazil in 2012, Argentina in 2014, Germany in 2015 and France in 2017, with additional locations to be added soon. Leca joined the C3 Presents family in 2012 after working as Project Director at Geo Eventos, the first and former Lollapalooza Brazil promoter, and is now a Brazilian living in Austin since 2014.

Bozoma (“Boz”) Saint John is Chief Marketing Officer for Endeavor, a global leader in entertainment, sports and fashion. Operating in more than 30 countries, Endeavor is the parent of a number of subsidiaries with leadership positions in their respective industries, including WME, IMG and UFC. Collectively, Endeavor specializes in talent representation and management; brand strategy, activation and licensing; media sales and distribution; and event management.

In her role, Saint John focuses on driving marketing efforts across Endeavor’s growing global network of companies, including Endeavor Global Marketing clients and premium brands.

Over the course of her career, Saint John has earned a formidable reputation as a trailblazing marketing and advertising executive. She most recently served as Chief Brand Officer for Uber, where she was tasked with telling the stories of millions of riders and driver partners across 600+ cities. Prior to Uber, Saint John served as Head of Global Consumer Marketing for Apple Music and iTunes, spearheading campaigns geared towards growing consumer brand recognition, loyalty and equity around the world. She stole the show at Apple’s keynote World Wide Developers Conference when she introduced the new interface for Apple Music. Following the presentation, Buzzfeed called her the "coolest person to ever go on stage at an Apple event.”

Before Apple, Saint John served as Head of the Music and Entertainment Marketing Group at Pepsi-Cola North America, where she drove breakthrough consumer engagement plans for brands across the soda giant’s beverages portfolio by engaging tastemaker-consumers. Prior to Pepsi, Saint John served as VP of Marketing for Ashley Stewart, a women’s fashion brand, as well as managed accounts at advertising agencies Arnold Worldwide and Spike Lee's SpikeDDB.

Over the years, Saint John has been recognized by countless organizations for her work, including: Fast Company’s 100 Most Creative People; Ad Age’s 50 Most Creative People; Fortune’s Disruptors and 40 Under 40; Billboard’s Female Executive of the Year; Ebony’s 100 Most Powerful Executives; and Adweek’s Most Exciting Personalities in Advertising.

Saint John was inducted into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement in 2014, and she currently sits on their Executive Committee. She was also named a Henry Crown Fellow in the Aspen Institute in 2017, and her philanthropic efforts include serving on the Leadership Council for the United Nation’s partnership with the PVBLIC Foundation, and as a mentor for the Levo League.

Saint John was born in Middletown, CT, but spent her early childhood in Nairobi Kenya, Washington DC, and Accra Ghana, before immigrating to Colorado Springs, CO when she was 12 years old. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English and African American Studies from Wesleyan University (at which she currently sits on the President’s Advisory Council).

Seth Kallen is the founder of This Fiction, a boutique, independent, artist management company with offices in New York and Los Angeles. The roster of clients includes multi platinum selling rock band X Ambassadors who broke out in 2015 with their hit singles "Renegades" and "Unsteady,” both of which cracked the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100. This Fiction also represents Jukebox the Ghost, Minke, Great Good Fine Ok and more. In 2017 Kallen formalized a partnership between This Fiction and Friends at Work, a management company founded by Ty Stiklorius (John Legend, Lindsey Stirling, Alanis Morissette, Ryan Adams), sharing resources and infrastructure, with the joint teams working across both rosters.

Also in 2017, Kallen, X Ambassadors, and DSP Shows founded Cayuga Sound, a festival in Ithaca, NY curated by X Ambassadors showcasing both local musicians and international touring acts. Cayuga Sound had its second year in 2018, expanding to two days; the lineup over the years has included The Roots, Young the Giant, Matt & Kim, K.flay, and more. Cayuga Sound brings together the community of Ithaca through music, food, and conversations.

Sandy Khaund is VP of Blockchain Products for Ticketmaster. Sandy came to Ticketmaster as part of their acquisition of UPGRADED, a platform for event tickets using blockchain technologies, where he was Founder and CEO. Previously, Sandy was CTO at InStadium, an ad network of 450+ pro/college sports venues. Sandy was Sr. Director at Turner Broadcasting from 2011-2014, leading the Emerging Technologies office in San Francisco and serving as a founding Director of Time Warner Media Camp, a startup accelerator for tech companies in the media space. From 2008-2011, Sandy was Founder and CEO of Irynsoft, bringing collaborative video-based learning to mobile devices. Before Irynsoft, Sandy was COO at Piczo, a teen social network with over 35M accounts (acquired by Stardoll in 2009). He spent six years at Microsoft as Director of the Community Technologies Team for microsoft.com and has also held positions at Intel, the Boston Consulting Group, and Lockheed Martin.

Sandy has a BSEE & M.Eng from Cornell, a BA in Physics from Ithaca College, and an MBA from Wharton.

Evangelia Livanos has always had her finger on the pulse of what's hot before it's hot, what's cool before it's cool and what's hip long before you ever even heard of it. She's got that kind of radar.

Having her ear firmly planted to the underground is what makes her such a valuable music industry commodity, especially in this day and age.

She began her career booking bands like Jimmy Eat World and Saves the Day at boutique firm Fata Booking before taking a step up at Face the Music. When FTM was bought out, Livanos boldly refused the new parent company's offer and courageously headed out on her own, focusing on management. She was quickly scooped up by A Fein Martini, developing the band Emanuel for several years. She distilled experience into this passion project and the result was nothing short of runaway success for the indie band.

Livanos next spent two years working with platinum metal bands like Slipknot before deciding to collect everything she learned on her incredible journey and jobs and channel it into a new venture working with indie bands. She's only begun to scratch the surface.

All the while she has served as the president of Women in Music. During her tenure, the formerly dormant group has experienced unprecedented growth, thanks to her beyond competent leadership. WIM is a resource for women in music to share, communicate and work together to achieve common goals, something Evangelia Livanos clearly knows quite a bit about.

Livanos has also recently started a record label through Electra Music Group called Public Consumption Recording Company.

As General Manager of the Global Music Group at United Talent Agency, Natalia Nastaskin is responsible for strategic development, management and expansion of the music group. Prior to UTA, Natalia was CEO and General Counsel to The Agency Group in the US. Natalia began her career in music as an attorney and founder of her eponymous entertainment law practice in New York City.
Recognized as a power player in the industry, Natalia was featured on Billboard's Women In Music and Power 100 lists for the past 4 consecutive years, as well as having two entries on Variety's Women's Impact lists. Natalia presently serves on the advisory boards for MIDEM and Women Inspiration and Enterprise (WIE) Network.

Alissa Pollack is the Executive Vice President of Global Music Marketing, an initiative that focuses on leveraging iHeartMedia's extensive pool of listener data and deep music and consumer insights to benefit advertising partners, brands and artists and to deliver even more value on air, online, mobile, social and through live events. Pollack works closely with brands to create targeted music strategies and programs, as well as, create custom content and events, secure brand ambassadors, coordinate tour integrations and license music that will best represent those brands and increase the efficacy of advertising campaigns and fan engagement. She has developed and collaborated on programs such as Pepsi’s The Sound Drop featuring Lukas Graham, Jidenna, and Alessia Cara; Macy's Presents Fashion’s Front Row featuring Ariana Grande and Flo Rida; Chex Mix/General Mills featuring Backstreet Boys, Jeff Timmons, and MY2K Tour; M&M’s First Look featuring, The Chainsmokers, Florida Georgia Line and others, and iHeartRadio Label Defiers featuring Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Charlie Puth, Nick JonasCamila Alvares.

In addition, Pollack oversees Mediabase’s Domestic and International music ventures as well as those for Rate the Music, BuzzAngle Music and M-Score and works very closely with iHeartMedia’s National Programming Platforms team to create national research strategies and to discover and develop new artists early in their career. She has been instrumental in guiding the roll out strategy for those artists ranging from Katy Perry, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, twenty one pilots, Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan, to Post Malone, NF, Bazzi, Marshmello, Dua Lipa, and Bebe Rexha. Her team spearheads artist relations for Premiere Networks’ more than 5,000 affiliates, the iHeartRadio Digital and Podcast teams and internationally through iHeartRadio's broadcast partnerships. Pollack maintains key label and artist relationships by generating custom data focused roadmaps for music’s current and next superstars in all formats and by creating multi-platform opportunities across iHeartMedia's unique proprietary and partner assets.

Pollack also serves on the Board of MusiCares, Musicians on Call and the Executive Board of the Music and Entertainment Committee for City of Hope. She created and chairs the Taste of Hope, which has become one of the best attended music industry events and to date has raised over $6 million for City of Hope. She was Jet Set Magazine's first featured entrepreneur for her charity based brand programs and she was the honoree for TJ Martell's 16th Annual Family Day. In partnership with Musicians on Call, the Jason Pollack Bedside Performance program brings the healing power of music to thousands of patients each year.

Jan Quiel (Seaside Touring / Wacken Open Air) started his career in the live business in 2005. Since 2014 Jan his jointly responsible for the lineup of Wacken Open Air and other events produced by ICS Festival Service. In addition he promotes tours of bands like Helmet, Therapy?, Life Of Agony, Clawfinger, DevilDriver in Germany.

John Reid is responsible for running the European touring and festival business for Live Nation. Reid joined Live Nation Entertainment as President of Live Nation Europe-Concerts in January of 2012. Prior to joining Live Nation Entertainment, he served as President of Warner Music Europe and Vice Chairman of Warner Music International. He joined Warner Music Group in 2000, where he ran international marketing and the development of several US stars including Michael Buble, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Green Day and Linkin Park, as well as the global prominence of European artists such as Muse, James Blunt and Enya.

Earlier in his career, he served as President of Island Def Jam in the US, CEO of Polygram Canada, and was an artist manager. Reid holds a business degree from Trinity College Dublin.

Matt Urmy was born February 22, 1978 at NYU hospital in Manhattan, New York. His parents lived in the West Village and worked at NYU Medical Center. When Urmy was four years old his family moved to Nashville, TN, where he lived until college. He graduated with a BA in creative writing from UT, Knoxville, and an MFA in poetry from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. He has also studied traditional healing practices with the indigenous people of New Zealand, the Maori, for nearly 20 years.

Aside from publishing two books of poetry (2007 & 2015), Urmy also released his debut album in 2017, Out Of The Ashes, which was produced by the late, legendary, Cowboy Jack Clement.

Rolling Stone Country named Urmy as one 10 artists to watch, and The Nashville Scene called it, “...the most fascinating Nashville album of the last decade...”

In 2012, Matt founded the groundbreaking software company, Artist Growth, which he ran as CEO until 2018, raising millions in venture financing and forging deals with the most iconic institutions in the music industry. He now serves as Chief Strategy & Product Officer, and has clients ranging from Universal Music Group, Vector Management, Red Light Management, Maverick, C3, Qprime, and countless other labels, artists and management companies.

Heather Vantress is the COO of Orange County, California based Synergy Global Entertainment, Inc. (SGE; www.SGEWorldWide.com), one of the world's premier music festival production companies. SGE events currently include 37 music and lifestyle festivals with artist and/or brand curation partners across a variety of genres and interests. 2019 should see SGE sell between 1.75 and 2.25 million tickets throughout North America.

While at SGE, Heather developed the craft beer and music niche festival concept,
launching Ye Scallywag!, Driftwood Country Festival, BeerX, Cali Uncorked, Sabroso,
and Punk In Drublic. She produced the Adult Swim Festival and was the co-producer of the Oddball Comedy Festival and Driftwood Country Festival, and is also the festival project manager for Ohana Festival, Knotfest, IDentity, and many more.

SGE has imagined and produced over 50 music, entertainment and lifestyle festivals, events, and brands since 2004 – spanning genres from hard rock touring mainstay Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival to the Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival to award-winning EDM fest Lost Lands. SGE’s artist-curated festivals and festival tours include Knotfest (Slipknot), MUSINK (Travis Barker), Sabroso (The Offspring), and more. SGE also produces Ohana Festival for Live Nation and Eddie Vedder. SGE has sold over 10 million tickets since the company’s inception.

Heather joined SGE at its inception in 2008, after working for Fat Wreck Chords, MySpace Japan, and for the Vans Warped Tour. She grew up in Oregon and graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Japanese.

Lillian Williams, CFP®, is a Partner at O'Neil Hagaman, LLC, a business management firm based in Nashville that specializes in the entertainment industry. Her initial connections to the music industry began with her employment in 1984 at Kraft Bros. as a staff accountant providing small business services to clients in the entertainment industry. Within six months of joining Kraft Bros., she left with Kerry O'Neil and Cheryl Harris when they started O'Neil Hagaman, LLC.

Mrs. Williams, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, specializes in business management and consulting providing overall support for the client's business including accounting, risk management, contract negotiations, royalties, litigation support, tax, estate, and investment planning to a variety of artists across multiple genres, publishers, songwriters, social media influencers, management and record company executives.

Currently, she has 28 clients who combined have sold over 28 million records and 63 #1 radio singles. Her YouTube artist has over 10 million subscribers and 2 billion views. She has written financial articles on business management topics for Music Row Magazine & has been recognized as one of Billboard’s 2018 Top Business Managers. Mrs. Williams has also served as a speaker on entertainment related topics for the Gospel Music Association, Pollstar Live, All ATX Leadership, and Leadership Music. She is also member of the following industry-related organizations: ACM, CMA, NARAS, and an alumni of Leadership Music (Class of 2009).

By his 33rd birthday, RCA Records Nashville artist Chris Young has accumulated an impressive list of accomplishments, including membership in the iconic Grand Ole Opry, ten No. 1 singles, seventeen R.I.A.A. Gold/Platinum/Multi-Platinum certified projects, 2 Grammy nominations, 3 Country Music Association nominations and 4 Academy of Country Music nominations. Kevin Hartz has served as an early-stage investor and advisor to a number of transformative companies, including the likes of Airbnb, Pinterest, Skybox Imaging, Trulia and Uber. Additionally, Kevin was an early adaptor of bitcoin, making his first investment in 2013. He is an early investor in numerous crypto/blockchain hedge funds, including Pantera Capital, Scalar Capital and Polychain. Kevin is also the Chairman of Eventbrite, an innovative ticketing technology company he founded in 2006 with Renaud Visage and Julia Hartz, who is currently CEO.

Kevin Shivers is a partner in WME’s Music division, representing leading artists in the hip-hop and urban genre, in addition to athletes and podcasts. His roster includes Brockhampton, Jimmy Butler, Kid Cudi, Pod Save America, Solange and Tyler The Creator.

Shivers joined the William Morris Agency mailroom in 2008, and transitioned to WME following the agency’s merger with Endeavor in 2009.

A graduate of the University of Texas, Shivers currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. Outside of the office; he is on the board for the charity Seeds of Africa and The University of Texas at Austin Moody College of Communication’s advisory board.

Max Smith has produced VIP programs for over 4 years for acts such as Post Malone, Future, Migos, 21 Savage, A$AP Rocky, and more. Prior to his time with Future Beat, he managed and produced private and corporate events in Washington, DC and has been involved in booking and talent management throughout the past decade, ultimately putting his full focus toward VIP activations for artists touring both domestically and internationally.

John Bollen serves as Chief Digital Officer at Mobilitie and he brings over 25 years of technology experience to the position. John has worked for various start-ups in the Silicon Valley as well as for multi-national corporations such as NBC Universal/General Electric. John is responsible for creating and executing the long-term strategic plan to evolve Mobilitie’s digital capabilities across all client/customer touch points. He has substantial experience in the field of information technology, specializing in digital strategy, construction, and guest experience design. His most recent employment comes from MGM Resorts International where he worked as the Senior Vice President & Chief Digital Officer to help implement the world’s largest hospitality Wi-Fi system.

John received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from University of California, Santa Barbara and Master of Business Administration from University of San Francisco.

Bruce Eskowitz is COO of Red Light Management. RLM is a multifaceted, privately owned artist management company. Red Light has offices in Los Angeles, London, New York, Nashville, Atlanta and Charlottesville. In addition to overseeing all of RLM’s management activities, Bruce manages artists including Lionel Richie, Il Divo, Icona Pop and Mat Franco.

Prior to joining Red Light, Bruce was CEO of North America for Live Nation. Prior to that he was President of Live Nation. He also held various senior level positions with Clear Channel Entertainment, SFX and Pace Entertainment.

Since 2016, Khalid has appeared on 18 songs that reached Billboard's Hot 100, including three that cracked the top 10. His debut album, 2017's American Teen, was certified double platinum, and he was nominated for five Grammys, including Best New Artist, at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

Khalid has also proven a formidable force on the road, claiming a spot on Pollstar's Year End Top 200 North American Tours with a gross of $8.9 million in 2018. His 2018 tour included a sold-out gig at New York's Radio City Music Hall, with 5,960 tickets sold for a gross of $487,441.

10th Street Entertainment President Chris Nilsson has a BA in Economics from Colorado College and an MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business. He is a 20 year veteran of the music business, having begun managing singer-songwriters in the LA Hotel Cafe scene in the early 2000s. Chris has spent the past 12 years under industry titan Allen Kovac’s tutelage where he has been the primary manager for rock icons Mötley Crüe and their founder/bassist/songwriter Nikki Sixx. Over the years, Chris has been instrumental in cultivating and growing acts like Five Finger Death Punch, Breaking Benjamin, Sixx:A.M., Bad Wolves, Papa Roach and In Flames. He enjoys reading the novels of Haruki Murakami, takes Japanese lessons once per week, studies the Spanish guitar, is married to Elizabeth Stahl and has two dogs.

Steve Machin is a pioneer of the live entertainment & ticketing sectors. Steve speaks about technology and live entertainment at conferences worldwide such as the International Live Music Conference where he chairs the New Technology Committee. Throughout his career Steve has focussed on projects, solutions and services that use new technology to enhance how fans connect with live entertainment. Following senior corporate roles at Ticketmaster Europe and Live Nation, Steve has worked in the independent sector as an entrepreneur and co-founder of a number of businesses - ranging from data analysis of what was a nascent secondary ticketing sector, to a live event streaming company that brought the category of “Event Cinema” to the mass-market across Europe. More recently Steve has moved towards an infrastructure approach to the ticket sector. To that end, in 2012 Steve successfully applied to the internet regulator, ICANN, to operate a high-integrity domain name registry for the ticketing sector under the .tickets top level domain. In 2018 Steve has more turned his attention to blockchain and has joined FanDragon Technologies to bring his industry experience to bear on the next phase of ticketing technology.

Kacie Lehman is Senior Vice President of Partnerships for MAC Presents, a leading music sponsorship and experiential agency. In her seven years with the company, Lehman has played a key role in developing global partnerships with culture’s leading brands and artists. She has been instrumental in developing many award winning brand-artists programs including; Chance The Rapper’s brand ambassadorship with H&MxKENZO; Khalid’s partnership with Forever 21; MadeInTYO’s integrated partnership with Sprite; Southwest Airlines’ “On The Rise” program with Khalid; Southwest Airlines’ “Destination Dragons” tour and campaign with Imagine Dragons and Taylor Bennett’s partnerships with Urban Outfitters, Express and Diesel, among many others.

Lizzie Daniel has over 17 years of sales, media, marketing and management experience orchestrating global branded content partnerships, sponsorships, experiential marketing programs and strategic digital initiatives for the world’s leading brands. Prior to joining the MAC Presents team in 2018, she served as VP of Marketing at CMA, leading a team of 10 to drive the growth of country music around the world through strategic industry initiatives. Previously, Lizzie was VP of Brand Solutions at Tinder/Match Group, Luxury Advertising Sales Director at Editorialist, and Advertising Director at Rolling Stone. Earlier in her career Lizzie held positions at Gannett, iHeart, DreamWorks Records & Universal Music Group.
